Jinye No. 1 Middle School welcomed the start of a new school year. At their first meeting, Jun Yexiang fell in love at first sight with Ning Qunxing. That sunny boy was a glimmer of hope in her gloomy life. Since she was eight, she and her sister, Jun Zilan, who was ten years older, had depended on each other, with her sister working to support them. Her parents divorced when she was little, and her mother later passed away, the greatest blow of her life. When she was eight, the year Jun Zilan turned eighteen, their father, whom they had never met, sent them two jeweled necklaces, one green and one purple. He said there was also a yellow one, kept by his other daughter, Jun Yexiang's twin sister. During the summer vacation before ninth grade, this led Jun Yexiang to set out in search of her twin sister, parting ways with Ning Qunxing, the twins, Yu Yan, and the others. When they met again, Ning Qunxing was no longer the sunny boy she remembered, but had grown somewhat gloomy. All these changes awaited resolution and healing. After graduating from university, Jun Yexiang became a Chinese teacher. When she returned to her old middle school, Jinye No. 1 Middle School, she encountered a trainee PE teacher who looked remarkably like Ning Qunxing. And so the story came to a perfect close.
