Three years ago, Lu Chen, the Qingyun Sect's greatest prodigy, lured away powerful enemies alone to save his sect and his fiancée. Wounded, he fell into the forbidden death zone known as the Demon Burial Abyss.
Everyone believed he had been reduced to dust. The sect's soul lamp went out, and on the third anniversary of his death, his fiancée and the elders in power even schemed together to openly divide up the peerless legacy he had left behind.
Yet on the day of the memorial ceremony, a frail young man in a tattered white robe and with a pale face leisurely pushed open the mountain gate.
"Elders, and my deeply devoted senior sister... Did you enjoy the meal at my memorial?"
No one knows that deep inside the forbidden zone, he not only survived, but refined the peerless Nine Nether Old Demon, who had tried to possess him, into a "power source" within his body.
Now he has returned. His cultivation is completely destroyed? His blood and energy are depleted? It's all just a disguise to conceal his demonic seed!
When a lofty elder tries to forcibly search his soul and silence him, Lu Chen smiles and offers his hand.
"Elder, if you're going to search my soul, why is your hand twitching?"
The next moment, the Golden Core elder is drained dry, reduced to a useless strip of dried meat!
Facing the sect's horrified stares, Lu Chen looks deeply remorseful.
"It's my fault! My body is so broken that the elder suddenly came down with paralysis and lost all his cultivation... I deserve a thousand deaths!"
In the eyes of the world, he is a gentle, considerate senior brother, frail as a sickly plant.
In the shadows, he is a ruthless killer who strikes to kill and devours his victims without a trace: the ultimate survivor of the forbidden zone!
"I was going to treat you like ordinary people, but you tried to rob and kill me. No more pretending. My demonic seed has awakened."
