Bai Zhi spent all her cultivation, severed her immortal foundation, and gave up her chance to ascend. Using her natal immortal essence to protect his shattered soul, she sent him into the river of reincarnation. She did not enter the cycle of reincarnation or go to the immortal realm. Leaving behind only a wisp of consciousness, she hid within an ancient white-flowered tree at the mouth of Xikou Creek, silently accompanying and protecting him in keeping with her vow across three lifetimes.
In their first life, they cultivated immortality together and faced the tribulation thunder as one. His soul perished beneath the heavenly tribulation.
In their second life, he fell into the mortal world and became the Great Yan Dynasty's Grand General Who Guards the Nation on the Savage Continent. He donned his armor to defend the realm and died on the battlefield.
This is their third life.
His remnant soul falls in the southern reaches of the Savage Continent, in the Kingdom of Yelang, Xikou Village.
