What! My Name Isn't My Name

The night the Gaokao results came out, I found out I had scored zero.

There was also a line of small text on the page: This score was already used nine years ago.

I was nine that year.

Even stranger, one character had gone missing from my name.

My household register says my name is Ye Mo. But I'm sure my name is Ye Moxi.

I later learned that someone had hidden the character "Xi" from my name.

I can't tell you where it is hidden.

I can only tell you this: that character is the only thing in the whole city that can still make the sun rise.
