The Unorthodox Taoist of the Mystic Sect

Cultivators of the orthodox path follow the rules and stay within the lines, shackled for all eternity.

Modern office worker Lin Ye transmigrates to the Qingyun Sect, saddled with the reputation of being a good-for-nothing disciple. Every orthodox technique he tries is ruined, yet he grasps peerless, uncanny arts at a glance.

He makes a fool of the entire sect and deceives both the righteous and the wicked, using the crooked to break the straight and the uncanny to reach the heavens.

Everyone calls him a heretic, unaware that his unreliable master, who is always out of touch, loves his liquor, and is buried in debt, is an uncanny Dao Venerable from ancient times, erased from history.

The orthodox path has grown rigid and hypocritical, monopolizing the right to speak for Heaven's Dao and slandering all uncanny beings as demons.

Master and disciple, one a scoundrel and one a schemer, one mad and one hidden, use unorthodox means to pursue the true Great Dao.

The Dao is neither righteous nor wicked. The human heart is the measure.

I am a crooked disciple of the Mystic Sect. I dare to defy the rules set for all eternity!
