The Nine Sects in Turbulent Times: I Use the Ruin Seal to Suppress the Heavens

After lying dormant for ten thousand years, all nine great sects broke free of their seals and returned to the world. The righteous path rotted from internal strife, reclusive powers looked on coldly, and the evil path schemed amid the chaos. The old order was utterly shattered, the people were scattered, and heaven and earth were overturned.

Shen Chen, a young man from Qingming Immortal Mountain, unexpectedly bore the one and only Ancient Ruin Heavenly Mandate Seal. He could sense the world's rifts and see through the source of ruinous energy. The world saw him as a harbinger of disaster, and the sects treated him as a pawn. But he entered the world with sword in hand, slaying ruinous evils, exposing conspiracies, and defying fate, vowing to protect the lights in every home by his own strength.

Lu Xuanyuan, an undercover agent in the Ten Thousand Demon Abyss, spent five years in the darkness. He saw through the hypocrisy of the righteous path and the candor of the demonic path, as his Daoist heart nearly shattered between good and evil. He abandoned his identity, broke free of the game, and created the Nether Path. Amid the endless darkness, he proved the righteousness of the path in his heart.

The Ancient Ruin spirits seek to devour heaven and earth and remake the cosmos, while the nine sects each harbor their own schemes and murderous intentions.

Everyone else is a pawn. Only we, the Twin Luminaries, defy fate!

When the nine sects have dispersed and the dust of the ruins has settled, we will restore a bright and clear world to heaven and earth.
