Snow Falls on the Ashes of Winter

Jiang Xuening spent ten years getting close to Xiao Jinhan, all to destroy his Great Yin dynasty.

She thought she was the hunter with the blade, never realizing she had long since become the prey.

On the day the city fell, the arrogant emperor Xiao Jinhan placed the bloodstained sword in her hand himself, pressing it against his own heart as he smiled. "A Ning, if that strike misses, it will hurt me, you know."

History later recorded: The deposed empress of Great Yin, Jiang, plotted rebellion and murdered the emperor.

But no one knew that on the day the new emperor ascended the throne, he knelt all night in the heavy snow before the imperial mausoleum, begging for an impossible forgiveness.

"I won the realm, but lost you."
