The Female Demon Sovereign Who Wants Only to Become a God

Modern policewoman Su Cijiu transmigrates unexpectedly while carrying out a mission. When she wakes, she has become the notorious Demon Lord in a cultivation world.

Unlike the warlike, bloodthirsty Demon Lords before her, she reforms the demon realm, lays down rules, and forbids its people from picking fights or harming others without reason. She takes a pack of arrogant, ferocious little demons and teaches them to become peaceful, law-abiding citizens of the demon realm, easing the long-standing enmity between humans and demons.

Everyone in the Three Realms thinks she is plotting for power. No one knows what she truly has in mind.

All she wants is to cultivate into a god and then go home.

Perhaps she believes this is the way to open a path back to her original world.

Becoming a god isn't her ultimate ambition. Going home is.

Holding fast to this obsession, Su Cijiu enters the mortal realm to fulfill a destined pact and protect the mortal Pei Chengli for one year.

She commands awe throughout the Three Realms and acts decisively and calmly, putting mission completion and returning to her homeland above all else. She has no intention of getting involved in mortal love.

But after meeting the gentle, refined Pei Chengli, everything gradually strays from her expectations.

Faced with the affection he can no longer hide, she, who has always been rational and self-controlled, makes exception after exception. A stirring grows quietly in her heart, unnoticed even by herself.

On one side is the path home she has yearned for; on the other is an unexpected love in the mortal world.

As the mission progresses, she must stand at a crossroads: should she remain true to her original purpose, ascend to godhood, and return home, or stay in this other world for this unexpected love?
