After the cataclysm arrived, the [Wheel of Sequences] appeared in the sky. Every living being and inanimate object could absorb cataclysmic energy and advance through the sequences.
Sequence ranks: Sequence 9 → Sequence 8 → Sequence 7 → Sequence 6 → Sequence 5 → Sequence 4 → Sequence 3 → Sequence 2 → Sequence 1 → Sequence 0 (legend says this rank is called the Sequence God).
Each advancement unlocks a unique [Sequence Authority] and brings a sequence distortion with it. This is the story's core feature: all supernatural beings suffer distortions. The stronger they are, the more severe the distortion. At best, it twists their personality; at worst, it transforms their bodies, until they become monsters completely.
Sequences fall into several broad categories: combat, eerie, creation, information, space, curse, and life. There are also extremely rare hybrid, malformed sequences.
