Young Chen Fu is "tricked" by his own grandfather into joining the hidden Fireseed Academy, deep in the mountains.
At first, he thinks he is merely an ordinary person with mediocre talent. But as he fights for his life again and again, finding ways through desperate situations and growing stronger amid bloodshed, he gradually glimpses the extraordinary truth that this world has concealed for a thousand years.
This is no accidental stroke of luck, but a grand scheme spanning a millennium and several generations. An invisible game of chess has long been underway, and Chen Fu is a piece that was marked out for the board long ago.
Caught at the heart of the storm, he faces danger at every turn, while behind him stand the friends and loved ones he wants to protect.
The game has begun, and fate weighs upon him. Unwilling to be a pawn manipulated at someone else's whim, he can only break through with his fists, burn his heart's fire to the end, and forge a path of his own.
