Synopsis
An archaeological team of fewer than ten people ventures deep into the uninhabited region of the Western Kunlun Mountains, where they unexpectedly uncover a mysterious prehistoric site dating back twenty thousand years. Massive rock-wall paintings and carbonized animal-hide manuscripts are unearthed one after another. They depict a floating city-state, sharp-eared elves, minotaurs, and many other intelligent races and ancient beasts never heard of before. As the exploration continues, strange fossils keep appearing and the veil over an ancient war slowly lifts. The team, which includes special forces soldiers, a doctor, a professor of classical literature, and a Daoist cultivator, step by step enters a secret realm capable of rewriting the history of human civilization.
