Synopsis
After years of ups and downs in Hangzhou, Kuang Hu has become a failure in everyone’s eyes.
No house, no car, no one to rely on. His career has suffered one setback after another, and for years his superiors have bullied and looked down on him. His future is pitch-black. His regrets have piled up like mountains, and the one that haunts him most is the girl he was too timid to pursue when he was young, Li Lining, his unattainable first love.
On a night of utter despair, Kuang Hu, who never drinks, tries to drown his sorrows and passes out in his cold rented apartment.
When he opens his eyes again, time has turned back. It’s the summer of 2014, just after high school graduation, as he approaches the golden age of starting university.
With the complete memories of the next twelve years, he has every opportunity of the coming age in his hands: the lottery boom, soaring property prices, a bull market, the internet wave, advances in AI, and revolutions in phones and digital technology.
In his past life, he had nothing and made the wrong move at every turn. In this life, he gets ahead at every turn and defies fate.
Starting with his first pot of gold, he snaps up every prime property in the city, seizes every opportunity to get rich, launches businesses, and devotes himself to the digital technology industry.
He founds a brand-new national tech brand: Aric.
Starting from scratch, he crushes the competition, breaks through technological barriers, and rises to become Huaguo’s top phone brand, building a world-class tech empire spanning smart hardware, artificial intelligence, and the internet.
The once-destitute office worker from Hangzhou climbs step by step to the pinnacle of his era and is crowned the richest man in Huaguo.
In this life, I’ll reach the very top of the wealth ladder and make up for every regret.
I’ll live up to my era, my youth, and the one pure, innocent girl in my heart, Li Lining.
Restarting in 2014, Kuang Hu returns with Aric, ready to take the reins of a golden age and marry the sweetest woman of all!
