During the Daxuan Dynasty, reading led to spiritual enlightenment. Read "Spring and Autumn" to nourish your righteousness, and read "Tao Te Ching" to invigorate your vitality. If you pass the exams one by one, your mouth can suppress evil and your pen can calm the river.
Chen Luo came over and lay in his coffin. He was the dead head of the family.
Instead of reading the Four Books and Five Classics, he dug out a collection of jokes. The tip of my tongue is burning, and there is half a page of crooked poetry in my mind:
"If you believe in the book, the book will bully you; if you laugh at the book, the book will be afraid of you."
Then he discovered that the people who died in the Chen family were not killed. He was told a joke to death. Die laughing.
Eleven people, all in the same dead condition, with smiles on their lips.
Then he discovered someone was reading. What you read is not the words on the paper, but the living person. Write your life in the book, and when the book reads your part, you have to act accordingly. Say "laugh" and you will laugh. After laughing, your life is gone.
We are now at chapter seven of that book. Chapter 7 reads:
"Chen Luo went out and walked to the alley. He smiled."
Chen Luo clenched the paper into his fist, cutting the edges into his palm.
"You want me to laugh? OK. I want to see who laughs first."
