Mecha Engineer: I Found a Forbidden Mecha in the Ruins

Insects invade, forcing humanity to retreat to its last seven fortresses. Lin Xuan, a graduate student in mechanical engineering at Peking University, transmigrates into a post-apocalyptic wasteland after an explosion in his lab. When he wakes, his younger sister, Lin Xiaoman, is trapped inside a medical AI core, unable to move or get out. And two voices have appeared in his mind: Tianshu, a perfectly rational tactical AI core that talks only in terms of survival odds, and Yaoguang, a completely unhinged combat AI core whose first words are always, “Let me handle it.” A wrecked mech with only one eye left, two AI personalities that couldn't be more different, and a sister trapped in the system. Lin Xuan's first battle: forty-seven worker drones, three seconds, one strike to wipe them all out. Others take three days to repair a mech; he does it in three hours and upgrades it along the way. Others rely on overwhelming firepower to fight the insect swarm; he blows up an energy core with one shot. Others wait to die when surrounded; Tianshu calculates the trajectory in his head, Yaoguang handles the firepower, and his sister calls out enemy positions. The insects are evolving, the fortresses are turning on one another, and a cult is plotting in secret. Lin Xuan only wants to do one thing: repair his mech, blast his way through the insect swarm, figure out the truth about how he transmigrated, and then buy his sister a cup of milk tea. A mechanical engineering student's survival rule for the apocalypse: Give me a mech, and I can fix anything, including this broken world.
