Thirty days before the apocalypse, Lu Jin sells his company, stocks up on supplies, commissions deadly weapons, and heads straight for the otherworldly realm of Nanjiang. When the first goblin ratman falls, a panel lights up: Kill successful, evolution point +1. Strength +0.1, speed +0.1, Beast Instinct unlocked. From then on, killing means evolving, and evolving means crushing all opposition. Rat swarms on the riverbank, shadow rat leaders, swarm commanders, the tide of the dead, ghost realms, rifts in the sky... With nothing but a blade, he kills his way from the riverbank through the tide of the dead and out into the stars. While everyone else fights to survive the apocalypse, he farms monsters and levels up.
