1. Story outline (about 1800 words)
28-year-old Lin Wan, who has been a stay-at-home mother for six years, was triggered by her husband's "seeing" and the family's financial crisis. She chose to rely on the promotion of short plays to regain her self-worth. Through a series of real-life tests such as the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and account limit, she and her family understood each other and grew together. In the end, with the efforts of ordinary people, they turned their lives into a glimmer of light that illuminated each other.
Story positioning
Reality cures a novel about growing up as a woman. The full text is about 21,000 words, with "the self-awakening of a stay-at-home mother" as the main line, and goes hand in hand with two lines: the bright line is the line of struggle of Lin Wan's side business of promoting short plays, and the hidden line is the line of reconciliation and warming of the relationship between husband and wife, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, and parent-child relationship. The tone is warm and realistic, rejecting the nonsense and cool writing routines, focusing on the emotional resonance of "ordinary people's efforts and being seen". It is close to the current social hot spots such as "stay-at-home mothers re-employment", "sideline business at home" and "short drama promotion", and has the potential to be adapted into short dramas and new media.
The author of "Ordinary Glimmer" has something to say
When I finished writing the last word of this book, it was just dawn outside the window.
I hesitated for a long time before writing. There are no earth-shattering heroes in this story, and there is no exciting plot about changing one's fate against the odds. The protagonist, Lin Wan, and his family are just telling the story of an ordinary little person.
Some readers may ask: What is there to write about such a character? My answer is: It is worth writing just because it is ordinary. The vast majority of us will never be in the spotlight throughout our lives. We will be squeezed on the subway during the morning rush hour, we will pay for our mortgage carefully, and we will walk home alone after working overtime late at night. But in these days, there is also the bowl of hot soy milk in the morning, the kind smiles of strangers, and the light that your family will always leave for you.
These glimmers are small, but real.
Writing the story of Lin Wan's family is actually writing about ourselves. You may have experienced the difficulties she encountered; you may have experienced her occasional weakness and low self-esteem; and the little courage she still chooses to be kind and refuse to admit defeat in dark moments is something I believe everyone has in their hearts.
Ordinary is ordinary, it has its own weight and its own light. We don't have to be legends, but we can be the people in our lives who are not easily extinguished.
Thank you to everyone who reads this. If a certain moment in the book happens to shine into a corner of your heart, that is the entire meaning of its existence.
May we all be that glimmer of light in our own world.
