After the July 7th Incident, Peiping was in danger!
Lu Zheng and Xu Meijiao, both students at Peking University, fell in love during the war of resistance against Japan.
Because Lu Zheng was proficient in Japanese and had martial arts skills, he was specially recruited as a scout by the commander of the Nanyuan garrison and appointed as a second lieutenant platoon leader to go to the Japanese headquarters in Tianjin to investigate the combat plan.
Lu Zheng met Xu Meijiao in the military camp before performing his mission. Xu Meijiao wanted to inform him of the underground party organization's development target through Lu Zheng, but failed because Lu Zheng was about to perform his mission. After Lu Zheng completed his reconnaissance mission, Peiping fell and he bid farewell to Xu Meijiao.
A year later, they met again in the base area behind enemy lines in the Taihang Mountains. At this time, Xu Meijiao was recommended by the party organization and joined a brigade of the Eighth Route Army.
A pair of hot-blooded sons and daughters, who take it as their duty to protect the land and food in the Taihang Mountains, work together to fight against the leader of the Japanese military's special high school course who has been lurking in the ancient town for a long time to snatch food, and crack down on the traitors and lackeys. Disguised as a dance partner, he went into the city to scout out the enemy's situation, beheaded the Japanese army's special high school lieutenant, and burned down the Japanese army's granary.
After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Lu Zheng donated all his family property to the Anti-Japanese Democratic Government and was elected as the county magistrate of the Anti-Japanese Democratic Government under the leadership of the party. And successfully instigated rebellion against his former spy master, who has become the commander of a certain unit of the Kuomintang's northwest army.
After fighting to the death with Japanese spies, Xu Meijiao joined the spy war again after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War and sneaked into the high-level Kuomintang army to conduct intelligence reconnaissance.
