2029 Is the seventh year of Blue Star Spiritual Energy recovery. The global warrior system is established, human beings awaken their "spiritual roots", and the martial arts levels are publicly divided into: Tempering the Body → Condensing the Bones → Opening the Veins → Tongxuan → Transformation → Grandmaster → Grand Master → Martial Saint → Martial God. Alien beasts and demons emerge from the "cave", and the city establishes a two-layer structure of "hunting area" and "safety area". Warrior University replaced the traditional college entrance examination and became the only channel for class jump.
Protagonist: Lu Chen, 18 years old, a student in the third (seventh) class of the First Martial Arts High School. Three months ago, the spiritual root test result was "wasted spiritual root", his cultivation level dropped to the first level of body tempering, and he was deemed by everyone as "non-recyclable garbage". When his fiancée Lin Qingyin broke off their engagement in public, class teacher Zhou Wancai used his "martial arts exam quota" as a bargaining chip to force him to sign a withdrawal application.
