Gui'an

In the occupied area of the country, bookstore owner Xu Wangshu and carpenter Shen Qi'an are both hidden underground party members. The name carries the parents' wishes for peace and prosperity, but underneath it hides the fate of troubled times. They are comrades-in-arms who fight side by side, and they are also secretly lovers. When the crisis struck, in order to preserve the underground transportation line, the two exhausted all options and jointly made the most painful but only safe decision: to cut off all ties and run to the two places, never to see each other again in this life. Without misunderstandings and mistakes, troubled times are a dead end. When the beacon smoke cleared and the mountains and rivers were restored, the prosperous age they guarded came as promised, but the stability that only belonged to the two of them was never promised after all.
