"Mojian Shanhe" is a long historical martial arts novel set at the end of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. The book has one hundred chapters and is divided into five parts. The story begins with the twenty years of the Northern Expedition by Emperor Shizong of the Later Zhou Dynasty and the eventual unification of the world. It tells the story of Xie Linchuan, an orphan from a family of poets and swordsmen in the south of the Yangtze River, and his journey from a revengeful boy to a Taoist hero. The work is intertwined with three lines: the struggle for secrets (the Jianghu line), the unification of the family and the country (the historical line), and the survival of the cultural context (the spiritual line). It inherits Jin Yong's historical thickness and feelings of family and country, and integrates the artistic conception of eyes, poetry, and martial arts. The atmosphere is broad, and tragic and hopeful coexist.
