“That's not all. Tell him what you're looking for, and he'll find you a perfect match, guaranteed to satisfy!”
“Who cares if it's true? If you want a mate and cubs, he's your guy!”
Chen Ying, a veterinarian and wildlife rescue worker, was crouched by the entrance to the rescue station, looking utterly resigned.
He'd thought his days would be spent rescuing little animals, cuddling fluffy creatures, and living a peaceful, healing life. But who could have guessed that everything would go off the rails after he rescued an affectionate lynx?
The lynx not only rubbed against his legs every day, but went around advertising his “services” everywhere. Before long, word had spread far and wide, setting off a gossip network throughout the animal kingdom.
Now it wasn't just the animals nearby. Even the fearsome tigress traveled all the way over to “place an order,” specifically requesting that he deliver her cubs!
Chen Ying rubbed his temples and grumbled to himself, “I'm just a veterinarian. How did I become the animal kingdom's matchmaker and go-to midwife?”
Even more absurdly, these creatures apparently had their own “information network.”
Yesterday, a squirrel came by to tell him that all the big and little cats in the forest were discussing whether his “delivery package” came with a group discount…
