My name is Gu Zhengqi. By a strange twist of fate, I found work at a mysterious, dilapidated crematorium, where I became one of the workers responsible for burning corpses.
From then on, my life seemed cursed, plunging me into one bizarre, inexplicable incident after another...
Laughter in the mortuary, a female corpse that wouldn't burn, the thirteenth corpse-refining furnace that must never be opened, and crematorium coworkers each with their own unusual tricks...
Some unseen hand was driving me to peel back the crematorium's secrets, layer by layer, and to see myself clearly too...
