Veteran scout Ouyang Fei needs money to save his gravely ill father. He resolutely gives up the chance to become a third-class noncommissioned officer, chooses to leave the military, and accepts an old comrade's invitation to join a mercenary company founded by Chinese people.
During a mission, an accident leaves him miraculously alive, and a “Myriad Worlds Mercenary” System inexplicably appears in his mind, allowing him to accept commission jobs from the Myriad Worlds.
From then on, Ouyang Fei takes off.
Please confirm: accept a commission from Yue Buqun, leader of the Huashan Sect in the world of The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, to help return the Huashan Sect to the pinnacle of the martial world? Hmm, this one sounds complicated, but no pressure. Accept.
Please confirm: accept a commission from Princess Iron Fan of Banana Cave on Green Cloud Mountain in the world of Journey to the West, to help her rescue Red Boy? Uh, I probably can't take on Sister Guanyin yet. I'll put that off for now.
Protagonists and supporting characters across the Myriad Worlds who need help, get your commissions ready. Oh, right, I don't take silver. Payment can be martial arts manuals, rare treasures, divine weapons…
