[A League of Legends esports novel]
“How much do you get paid to impersonate Uzi? Enough to buy your family a coffin?”
“Does a streamer like you really think you can compare yourself to a World Championship runner-up?”
“You’re an embarrassment to China!”
During the early-season ranked games on the Korean server in Season 6, Yang Yi stared at the screenful of vile comments in his livestream chat. As a rookie streamer, he was at a complete loss.
A year later, an interviewer asked Yang Yi: “Among professional ADCs, who has influenced you the most?”
“Uzi! He taught me a very profound lesson!”
Yang Yi smiled faintly and calmly replied:
“If you want to be the world’s best C... ADC, your teammates are what matter. I lifted the championship trophy thanks entirely to my teammates, not because my team was carried by me.”
