The Heian era.
On a dark and stormy night, inside an old-style Japanese home.
A young man in a loose brown robe sat before a pale, frail child. His eyes were lifeless, and his smile was stiff.
“Lord Ubuyashiki.”
That was how the young man addressed the child before him.
The long-haired, sickly pale child known as “Ubuyashiki” glared at the young man with a ferocious expression.
Moonlight streamed through the courtyard into the house, illuminating the child’s eyes as they grew increasingly bewitching, like red spider lilies.
The young man in the brown robe acted as if he saw nothing, keeping a calm expression.
But his hands, hidden beneath his sleeves and trembling uncontrollably, betrayed his true feelings.
Cold sweat trickled down the young man’s back.
What the heck is wrong with this Heian era?!
