I keep having a sad dream, dreaming that you love me so much, Xu Fusheng.
After five years in prison, the day she sees the light of day again is the day her former lover gets engaged. She appears coldly, ushering in a storm that will sweep through A City.
Xu Fusheng: a name people still love to gossip about to this day.
She's temperamental and withdrawn, cold and aloof. But none of that compares to the shocking news from five years ago, when she drove a car into the person her former lover cherished out of jealousy, killing her.
Ever since, the name Xu Fusheng has become synonymous with cruelty.
Jiang Shaoting: a name shrouded in mystery.
There are countless rumors about him, and his powerful, noble background makes women flock to him.
Yet the terrifying rumor that he brings death to his wives also makes them hesitate.
He can turn the tides with a flip of his hand, keeping everything under his control.
But the unexpected appearance of one woman completely throws him off course...
“CEO, it's after hours, and... your son is next door.”
Xu Fusheng gazes at the man in the meeting of light and shadow, poised like a beast ready to pounce, and speaks coolly.
“Xu Fusheng, marry me.” His hot breath brushes her face, leaving her suffocating as if poisoned.
Xu Fusheng says nothing and takes a thermometer from under his arm.
“Mm, you have a fever. 39.2!”
The day she finally gathers the courage to wear a wedding dress for him, despite the disdainful, mocking stares and words from everyone around her,
she waits for him from morning until dusk. The guests, invited because they fear his power, leave one by one.
Only she stubbornly keeps waiting, waiting for him to arrive...
But in the end, all she gets is...
“Jiang Shaoting, do you all think I'm made of steel? Do you think I can't feel pain? Do you think...”
Can I really be hurt over and over again without losing hope in love?
Let me have this life, and I'll give you back a dream.
