I once saw chaos engulf the mortal world and watched dynasties collapse.
I witnessed wise rulers rise, sweep across the land, and restore order to the world.
In those days, I was in my prime, standing at the back of the crowd with my hands in my pockets.
Later, I heard of immortals, obtained immortal arts, and set foot on the path to immortality.
I stumbled along the road to cultivation.
I had heard of one brilliant genius after another, each astonishingly talented!
Each leading their era!
And I was no different from the nobody I’d been in the mortal world, just another face in the crowd.
The Great Dao is merciless.
Years pass slowly, beauty fades; time flies, and the world changes.
And later still, step by step by step by step... I finally cultivated my way to immortality.
On the path to the Dao:
Some say immortality is an illusion, nothing but an empty dream!
Some say cultivators like us must press onward!
Some say ten thousand years is too long, so we seize the day!
Sure, sure, sure.
