Fahai said, “This disciple's sins are monstrous and unforgivable. I am willing to descend into the Avici Hell... Yet Jinshan Temple has been flooded, and countless innocent souls have suffered. I have spent my life cultivating Buddhism, but now I have nearly become a demon. I am willing to use all my magical power and cultivation to drive back the flood and restore peace to the mortal world.”
The floodwaters receded.
Fahai's spirit completely vanished from the mortal world. His body too was scattered by the wind into golden dust, drifting into the great river.
But he never expected to transmigrate into Tang Sanzang, who had just set out on his journey west.
