The Splendor of a Noble Household: Greetings to the Wicked Mother-in-Law

Her eldest son is distant, her second son is unruly, and her fifth daughter is naive. They may be a prestigious family, but they’re so broke they can barely afford to eat. The heroine glares coldly. “Of course! If you don’t earn yourselves the title of top scholar, what’ll we do if some powerful official swallows up my business? Get back to your books and study till you drop!”

Years later, three generations of the Yao family are filled with successful candidates in the imperial examinations, and the family’s official careers flourish.
