The Sixth Palace’s Favorite: The First Poisonous Consort

She was a virtuous and gracious empress, the mother of all under heaven. She honored the emperor, respected worthy ministers, and loved her people. So why, in the end, were her parents condemned to be cut in half, her clan reduced to servitude, her younger brother castrated, and she herself flayed and stripped to the bone, her blood flowing like a river? She was the loser in the struggle among the six palaces. Her methods were not ruthless, her heart not cruel, and her seduction skills not refined. She died miserably in the imperial prison. Reborn, she corrected all the flaws of her previous life: now her methods are vicious and her heart poisonous. She charms princes and seduces the emperor, gathering the strength of those around her to avenge the wrongs of her past life. Those who slandered her will have their mouths sealed with branding irons. Those who struck her will lose their hands to the executioner's blade. Those who framed her will have their bellies slit and their hearts torn out. Those who cursed, beat, and framed her will be flayed and have their bones ripped out. In her previous life, she was virtuous and gracious, the mother of all under heaven, yet she could not win the emperor's heart. In this life, she is venomous and overbearing, yet wins his undying devotion. See how she rules the six palaces and beguiles the cold-hearted emperor into killing his rivals and giving her his empire.
