The moment Yan Ruyu opens her eyes, she finds herself in a bandit den, now the queen of the mountain stronghold.
The stronghold is home to 360 people, many of them elderly, young, weak, or injured. They're gaunt and starving, and the place has even become a target for a petty official down the mountain looking to pad his record.
Even so, life must go on.
She takes over the mountain, clears land, stores food and money, and works hard to turn the place respectable and lead everyone to prosperity. But her people are so anxious they can barely sleep...
