For someone like me who cultivates the Dao, time is the most superfluous thing. Lately, I've been terribly bored, just wandering around online, when I came across an article called "Post-80s, Our Generation!" I was quite surprised after reading it. I'm actually one of the post-80s generation too, but:
I'm a true cultivator of the Dao.
When I was in elementary school, I didn't know what money was.
By the time I was in college, I'd already made some progress in cultivating the Dao. Money was just a worldly possession to me, and whenever I happened to earn some, I donated it to the elementary school in my hometown.
After I graduated from college, while my classmates were desperately scraping by just to find jobs that would keep them fed, I was off enjoying the mountains and rivers, carefree as could be.
While housing prices in the cities kept climbing, I was living in the heavens.
While the people around me couldn't find a wife without a car and a house, I was sneaking around in a panic. So many lovely girls who understood me wanted to marry me...
Sigh...!
It makes you wonder: we're all from the same generation, so why are our lives so different?
The more I think about it, the better cultivating the Dao sounds!
