The one who takes you down isn't necessarily a rival in your own field. It could be someone from a completely different one.
Li Yunfei is the factory manager of a small private company. To boost sales, he starts livestreaming to sell his products, though his wares are, to put it mildly, a little unusual.
A Twin-Tailed Scorpion that can be converted into an unmanned bomber, stealth paint that can evade radar, 7.62-millimeter rifled steel pipes, mortar launchers made from gas cylinders, artificial rain shells with a range of two thousand li, laser drones for pest control...
When Li Yunfei's small private company successfully defeats America's military-industrial giants and takes the top spot in global arms exports, the Americans are stunned.
Uncle Sam is dumbfounded: "Rabbit, you owe me an explanation!"
The Strategic Deception Bureau rushes to issue a clarification: "Uncle Sam, these are all civilian drones and rifled steel pipes! Our private companies have all the proper export paperwork. There's no need to be afraid!"
Then Li Yunfei announces that his controlled nuclear fusion project has entered the experimental stage, the Nantianmen Project is progressing steadily, and an aerospace carrier is about to enter service.
In an instant, everyone at the Strategic Deception Bureau falls to their knees.
"Factory manager, please tone it down! We at the Strategic Deception Bureau really can't make up any more excuses!"
