What is it like to have an incredibly "driven" Martial Soul?
He Qingfeng transmigrates to Douluo Dalu and becomes an orphan in Holy Soul Village. His parents died when he was young, leaving him a small wooden hut and no savings to speak of.
He finally makes it to his Martial Soul Awakening at age six, only to awaken a useless kitchen knife Martial Soul. Just as He Qingfeng envies Tang San, who has Twin Martial Souls and Innate Full Soul Power, his own Martial Soul gets offended!
"Ding! Your Martial Soul noticed that its Host is incredibly envious of Tang San. It refuses to accept this, so it proactively upgrades itself to a 'God-level Martial Soul: Purple Desolate Taihang Blade!'"
.
"Ding! After learning that Tang San has Innate Full Soul Power, your Martial Soul refuses to be outdone and awakens Innate Level 20 Soul Power!"
.
"Ding! After learning that Tang San obtained a Hundred-Year Soul Ring, your Martial Soul decides it can't fall behind and forms a Thousand-Year Soul Ring!"
.
"Ding! After learning that Tang San obtained a Ten Thousand Year Soul Ring, your Martial Soul senses a crisis and forms a Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring!"
.
"Ding! After learning that Tang San's soul power has increased by one level, your Martial Soul redoubles its efforts! It cultivates automatically around the clock, and your soul power skyrockets!"
Many years later.
Tang San: "He Qingfeng, what is wrong with you? You haven't even been cultivating, so why is your soul power increasing so fast? I can't catch up even with cheats!"
He Qingfeng sighs. "I can't help it. My Martial Soul is just too driven. Not a single bit of my Level 100 soul power came from my own cultivation."
