In this age of dawn, we awoke.
The Will studied our homeworld and its surroundings through countless eyes. We moved as one, building shelters for the hive, developing industry, researching new technologies, and making use of the world's many resources.
Soon, we would spread across the entire world.
A small number of autonomous hives were created and added to the hive as independent entities.
These more powerful hives possessed a limited free will, but they still obeyed the Supreme Will without question, just like the other worker hives.
Once we had completely mastered the planet, the Will began to take notice of the other worlds orbiting nearby. The smartest autonomous hives designed a new way to travel, giving us the ability to cross the vast distances between planets.
Our insect swarm would soon prosper even more.
