A mistake by the underworld's soul-catching staff caused young Li Yuan to die before his time.
To make up for his error, the King of Hell gave him a few little gifts and sent him back to life.
But a mix-up in the space-time tunnel meant Li Yuan didn't return to the modern era. Instead, he ended up in the chaotic Sui-Tang period.
After learning who he was, he discovered he had only twelve years to live.
Li Yuan became Li Yuan's son, the fierce warrior Li Yuanba, the mightiest general of the Sui and Tang dynasties.
"Second Brother, you'd better just stick to being Prince of Qin."
"Brothers, from today on, I'm number forty-seven!"
Hahaha! I am Li Yuanba, Prince of Zhao of the Western Prefecture, the greatest hero of the Sui and Tang dynasties.
