In August 1938, the fall of Jiangcheng was unavoidable. Chu Xinpu, a member of our party’s Central Special Branch, was ordered to join the Jiangcheng Special Committee and go undercover behind enemy lines for a long-term war of resistance.
The book’s original title was Crossing Against the Current, but the publishing platform showed that someone was already using it, so I added the words In the Sea of Espionage.
