The Path of Humans and Demons

I was nothing more than a common warrior. I sought no immortality, only a chance to live. But in this world, no one is free to choose: dying is easy, staying alive is hard. So be it. Anyone who blocks my path to survival will be killed without mercy.

(Note: This is a slow-burn novel. The protagonist's character will change from youthful ignorance to the shrewdness of an old hand. Readers who enjoy fast-paced power fantasies may find it doesn't suit their tastes.)
