[Welcome, new Host, Recorder Lin]
"What's the point of walking a path someone else has already taken, just to walk it again yourself?"
The young man in a black trench coat closed his book and chuckled.
"For me, the first playthrough ended long ago. It's time for the second one to begin... everyone."
And so, ever since a certain thrill-seeker appeared out of nowhere, the new generation of Ultras found their training difficulty raised from Normal to Hell.
Ever seen a beginner's mission featuring two Mysterious Four Ultras, plus someone who gets beaten so badly they disappear?
Ever seen a human host have to wear a bulletproof vest and risk their life in a hail of bullets?
Ever seen every resident of a certain town wield a Dark Spark, nearly turning the Earth upside down?
Ever seen someone refuse to leave the Land of Light after his belongings were confiscated, nearly making Zoffy drop dead from rage?
Ever seen someone fuse with every Dark Boss from every generation, only to skip conquering the world and beat up the Land of Light's crown prince and the young heir of the Galactic Empire in every way imaginable?
Ever seen...
"We have!"
"We've seen all of that!"
The new generation's human hosts sat together, dazed and teary-eyed as they poured their hearts out to one another.
But before they could say much, the bar's owner appeared in black and said with an easy smile:
"Thanks for the compliment. It's not like I'm some kind of demon, after all... Tonight's bill is doubled. I'll invite Jugglus Juggler and the others too, and put it all on your tab."
"Nooooo!!!"
