In the 16th year of the Republic of China, it rained continuously in Shenxi Town in northern Zhejiang.
Yin marriage, suppression of evil spirits, and ancestral worship of spirits are popular here, and every year there are women who "died after encountering evil spirits."
Ten years ago, my mother threw herself into a well and was sentenced to death by the clan as a ghost.
Ten years later, on the night I returned home, a strange ghost marriage brought back the corpse of a woman in red.
Everyone fears ghosts, respects the secular world, and fears the retribution of heaven.
Only Shen Yanci didn't believe it.
I read all the corpses and examined all the false customs.
Finally, the dirtiest secret of this century-old town was revealed——
All ghosts and gods are causing trouble, but they are all human butcher's knives.
All folk customs to suppress evil spirits are all to cover up sins and conceal the truth from heaven.
