Holy Continent, Twins with Different Eyes

The summer in Greystone Town was so long that Ix thought the days would go on like this forever - his mother bent over the stove, the incense burnt out on the pillow, and the iron bell at the east gate rang gently in the wind. Until the day of awakening, two kinds of lights lit up on the spiritual crystal board. A kind of brightness, a kind of deepness. It's like day and night fall into the same person's palm at the same time. No one told him what this meant. But that night, his mother looked into his eyes and said something he didn't understand until a long time later - "You, like your father, do not belong to any side."
