"You are the boundary keeper."
The sound was silent, but it was louder than the wind and thunder.
"What you are guarding is the Netherworld, and what you are suppressing is evil." The man did not turn around, and paused on his pen tip, "I made a mistake."
"You can't seal it."
"I can seal it."
He raised his hand.
There is a red line on the palm, which is curved, like a chain, but also like a word.
"Use my bloodline as the lock, and my origin as the book."
"Nine pages are scattered in the world, and they will not be reunited for a thousand years."
"Seal my sins and suppress my regrets."
The words fell.
He slapped his palm on the first page of the silk book.
Blood seeped in along the palm lines, covering the strokes and dyeing the ancient characters dark red.
Nine pages of the silk book lighted up at the same time.
The chain stretched straight, making the sound of cracking metal and stone.
The figure deep in the crack moved.
"Is it worth it?"
The man smiled.
Smiling bitterly.
"If future generations know, they should know that I regret it."
He turned to look at the white fox.
The white fox opened his mouth and the jade talisman fell.
"Keep it," he said, "waiting for the bloodline to return."
The white fox nodded.
He jumped up and pounced on the silk book.
