The Li family of Mount Xiao includes Li Yaozu, a reactionary landlord; the brothers Li Jianye, a special Party member, and Li Jiangong, a Red Army division commander; the brothers Li Kangzhan and Li Shengli, both members of the Academy; Li Dongfeng, a mayor; and Li Zheng, a special operations battalion commander. In 1904, at the age of fourteen, Li Yaozu passed the imperial examinations. The court abolished them soon after, leaving him with a lifelong regret. He then grew rich by any means necessary and brutally exploited tenant farmers and miners. Influenced from childhood by their grandmother, a devout Buddhist, the three Li Jianye brothers were compassionate. Their father taught them the old ideals of duty to the country and home, and their modern university education gradually set them on the path to revolution. For decades, Li Jianye’s sons, Li Kangzhan and Li Shengli, concealed their identities while forging weapons for a great power, making theirs a family with two academicians. The fourth generation, Li Dongfeng, served as mayor and fought resolutely against the negligent Party secretary Long Aiguo and unscrupulous businessmen during the pandemic, in order to protect the people’s lives. The fifth generation, Li Zheng, went deep into northern Myanmar to crack down on telecom fraud and rescue his fellow countrymen. Though the five generations of the Li family had very different personalities, they all lived by the family maxim “Be loyal to the ruler and serve the nation” and the principle “As long as the people need me, I can sacrifice everything.”

Are there any women who usually have a ladylike image but become extremely violent when they become anxious?
In the face of the general trend, powerful landowners are no different from tenants and miners. They are all ants.
In this chapter, the characters change too quickly. The protagonist Li Jianye should not have offered to become a soldier.
This change eliminates the feeling of sharp turns.
Landowners as a class are reactionary. But as individuals, landlords certainly have bad people, and of course they have good people. Similarly, the same goes for hungry people. Just because they are poor does not mean they are good people. There are kind people among the hungry people, and of course there are also desperadoes. If these desperadoes are vicious and have no bottom line, they will become bandits who commit all kinds of evil. If these people have their consciences intact, they will become an important force in the revolution.
There are good and bad landowners. However, the original class sin of the landlord class cannot be denied.
