Blue Continent, Southern Territory, Lanxian Town.
The small town is hidden among the folds of the Qingming Mountains. It has a population of only about 80 people. It is isolated from the world, has simple folk customs, and relies on the mountains for a living.
Ye Fan was an abandoned baby that Ye Dashan, the hunter in the town, picked up in a stone nest in a mountain stream when he went hunting in the mountains.
On that day, the mountain was filled with mist, and the cold air at the bottom of the stream penetrated the bones. However, the swaddled baby did not cry or fuss. There was a dull and simple bronze jade pendant attached to his chest. The jade pendant had twisted lines, like some kind of incomplete formation pattern. Apart from this, there is no other object that can prove his life experience.
Ye Dashan had no heirs, so he took him back to Lanxian Town to raise him and named him Ye Fan. Everyone in the village just regarded him as an abandoned child of a fleeing family. As time went by, this past incident gradually became a casual conversation.
Ye Fan has been going to the mountains to collect herbs and hunt animals since he was a child, and his body is much stronger than ordinary people. There was just one difference: every night when the moon was waning, the bronze jade pendant on his chest would feel slightly hot, and broken fragments would occasionally flash through his mind - black waves, crumbling walls, and thundering roars of fighting, all fleeting and impossible to catch.
People in the town don't know that deep in the Qingming Mountains is the end of the human world's defense line, only a thousand miles away from the rift that separates humans and demons.
Now that the thousand-year catastrophe is approaching, the border demonic energy has penetrated the mountains, and the docile beasts in the past have gradually become manic and bloodthirsty. The peaceful life of Lanxian Town is silently shattering.
The bronze jade pendant that accompanied Ye Fan's birth is the key to unlocking his life experience, and it also contains secrets closely related to the war between humans and demons.
