Chu Heng, a handyman disciple of the Qingyun Sect's outer sect, was on the third level of Qi Refining and had no background or backing. When Chu Heng was cleaning an abandoned stone room in the back mountain, he found an incomplete stone tablet with the characters "jumping out of the three realms, not in the five elements" and half a broken picture engraved on the tablet. As soon as he finished studying, he was bumped into by Zhao Yan, the elder of the outer sect who was following him, and he was hunted down. Chu Heng fled to Qingyun Mountain and fell to the Immortal Cliff, where he was severely wounded by Zhao Yan's palm.
