The September 18th Incident broke out, and the entire Northeast collapsed overnight. The protagonist Xu Chongyi refused to withdraw into the pass with the large troops and led his troops to stay in Liaodong. Faced with the fierce Japanese offensive, he took the initiative to raise troops to fight. In the desperate situation where the enemy's troops, equipment, and situation were completely different, the frontal resistance was finally forced to endure and compromise. Xu Chongyi sized up the situation and switched from openly fighting against the enemy with armed forces to lurking within the puppet Manchukuo system.
