Late Ming, Chongzhen Era: Whatever, Let Wei Zhongxian Loose to Bite!

After transmigrating into the body of the Chongzhen Emperor, from the start he is thrown into a hellish late-Ming dungeon! The Jurchens are eyeing the land, rebel bands are rising everywhere, the treasury is empty, and the officials at court are still busy tearing into one another.

While everyone else who transmigrates wants to restore the Ming dynasty, Zhu Youjian lies flat: "Whoever wants to carry this mess can carry it!"

He dumps court affairs, memorials, and military pay onto Wei Zhongxian, then hides in the palace to eat roast lamb. The Donglin faction pressures him with threats of death? He confiscates their estates to pay their debts. The Nine-Thousand-Year-Old is driven to the brink, and the Eastern Depot goes on a rampage, confiscating corrupt officials' property, raising military funds, and replenishing the treasury.

Zhu Youjian had meant to lie flat and wait for death, but somehow the more he lies flat, the more stable things get. Wei Zhongxian works himself half to death, the Donglin faction is scolded into silence, and Liaodong's military budget is fully funded. This battered Ming ship somehow gets back on its feet while he lies flat and wins!
