The two primordial stars, Xilun and Cangluo, stand opposed. The Venerable Lord Xihe and the Venerable Lord Cangxu are both Star Emperors. After an ancient battle, Cangxu hides in the abyss and lays a web of karmic ties, seeking to overthrow the galaxy. Xihe creates a barrier to protect the world, then falls into slumber on the ancient star.
Gu Heng is born with his star core erased, leaving him a useless body without a star. Through a stroke of fortune, he obtains the Nine Tribulations Astral Art and proves the Dao through tribulation. His defiant heart moves the Venerable Lord Xihe, who takes him as a disciple. With the Venerable Lord’s guidance, he cultivates into a Star Emperor.
Wen Shuyao was originally Cangxu’s hidden trump card on the ancient star Xilun. During her long years undercover, she sees through the truth: she is merely a pawn for others to manipulate. After meeting Gu Heng, she awakens, breaks free from her fate, and chooses to fight by his side.
The final battle between the two Star Emperors shakes the galaxy. Gu Heng breaks through the shackles of Heaven and Earth and becomes the one and only master of the galaxy throughout the ages.
