Xia Mo, the youngest female captain on the city police force, was a workaholic. Her father, the police chief, had finally had enough and forced her to go on a blind date.
Her date was Lin Hao, a newly hired probationary officer whose background was said to be a mystery.
On the day of the date, Lin Hao was two hours late. Xia Mo was about to flip the table and leave when a battered minivan came barreling to a stop in front of her.
The doors opened, and thirteen handcuffed criminals spilled out, packed together like sardines.
Lin Hao hopped out of the driver’s seat with a lollipop in his mouth. “Probationary officer Lin Hao, here for my first blind date. I didn’t bring a gift, so please accept a van full of criminals.”
