Based on the original county annals of Tangyuan County, the "Treaty of Aihui" tore open the gate of Northeast China, the Qing government's ban was invalidated, and the refugees in the Pass were forced to cross the Guandong to survive.
The men from Guangdong who were defeated by the Taiping Army, the farmers from Shandong who fled after the defeat of the Sino-Japanese War, and the farmers from the north who fled after the defeat of the Boxer Rebellion, three desperate families settled in Tangyuan Wasteland one after another.
They opened up wasteland and expanded the land, survived the excessive taxes and miscellaneous taxes in the late Qing Dynasty, and endured the melee war between the Northeastern warlords. On that day, the bandits broke through the white mountains and black waters. Ordinary people in this black soil of Tangyuan put down their hoes and picked up guns to defend their homes and protect their hometown.
A county chronicle, and several generations of people, describe the roots and pride of the Chinese people in the troubled times outside the customs.
